41 Day 40 – The Lost day!

Better late than never so the saying goes! After a fabulous day being guided around the Lakeland countryside (thanks Steve!) followed off by a traditional lunch (just the best sticky toffee pudding ever!!) I faced the long drive home….made longer because I really didnt want to come back! The traffic was a nighmare and so once through my front door I promptly fell asleep! So unfortunately no post but having had a quick look at some of the images from yesterday I have chosen 2 images to make up for it! The first image was taken at the Lodore Falls, a gem hidden away behind a hotel near Derwent Water, I have actually driven past here several times and never knew the falls were here! Apparently the waterfall was very popular with Victorian visitors and is fed by Watendlath Tarn, breathtaking! There is something magical about waterfalls! The second image is of Ashness Bridge, probably the most photographed bridge in Lakeland, however there were no other people there and so I have a completely unspoilt view of this old packhorse bridge with Skiddaw rising above in the distance. Enjoy a little of Lakeland, more to follow!
